SEASON: OCTOBER - APRIL Operational notes: Day 1: If you start the program from El Calafate, a previous night is required. Day 5: If you choose to return to El Calafate, a flight after 5 PM is required. Day 1 El Calafate or Punta Arenas / Torres del Paine. L D Early in the morning, we set off for Cerro Castillo where we make the migratory procedures to cross to Chile and then continue to Torres del Paine National Park, named the Eighth Wonder of the World by National Geographic. After lunch, the local guide explains the different activities that the lodge offers and give us details about the duration and requirement of each activity. While the briefing, the guide will know the interest of the passengers and their physical conditions to advise on the activity to be carried out. The itinerary we suggest is for those passengers who would like to enjoy the three valleys that make up the famous circuit "W", the French, the Ascencio Valley and the Lago Grey area. The passenger according to the offer of the lodge and his interest can modify the itinerary. Every afternoon at the end of the activity, return to the hotel to enjoy the comforts of it. Day 2 Torres del Paine. B L D We explore the Valley of River Ascencio in order to reach the Base of Las Torres. The first two hours are ascending, but with magnificent views. After crossing the edge of Paso de los Vientos, we arrive at the Chilean Refuge. We continue for another hour until we reach the final stretch: La Morena. From there, we hike one more hour until we approach the base where we have lunch (box lunch). We return by the same path. Distance: 19 km (11 miles) Walking time: 8/9 hours Level of Difficulty: High Day 3 Torres del Paine. B L D We leave from the hotel to the Pudeto area, where we embark on a catamaran to cross Lake Pehoe. After 30 minutes, we start walking towards the French Valley. Forests, lakes and streams, as well as a wonderful view of Paine Massif surround the path. Arriving at the foot of Mount Paine Grande, we enjoy a nice view of Frances Glacier, while we have lunch (box lunch) and we become spectators of some detachments. We return by the same path. Distance: 20 km (12 miles) Walking time: 8 hours Level of Difficulty: High Day 4 Torres del Paine. B L D Today we repeat the first part of the road that we travelled the previous day, and we take the catamaran to cross Pehoe Lake. Upon arrival, we begin the trek to Grey Glacier. After 1 hour of walking along a forest path, we arrive at the first viewpoint from where it is possible to observe it. Then reach the main viewpoint, which provides spectacular views of Grey Glacier, Olguín Mountain Range and the icebergs. While we enjoy the view, we have lunch (box lunch). Distance: 22 km (13 miles) Walking time: 8/9 hours Level of difficulty: Medium/High Day 5 Torres del Paine / El Calafate or Punta Arenas. B In the morning, we leave the lodge, to travel to El Calafate or Punta Arenas, in order to take the scheduled flight.
