1860 Travels Terms & Conditions

1. Introduction

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern the relationship between you ("the client") and 1860 Travels ("the Company"). By booking a trip with us, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

2. Booking and Payments

All bookings must be accompanied by a deposit as specified at the time of booking. Full payment is required no later than 30 days before the departure date. Prices quoted are subject to change based on availability and currency fluctuations.

3. Cancellations and Refunds

Cancellations must be made in writing. Refunds will be processed based on our cancellation policy.

1860 Travels cannot provide refunds based on visa rejections. Clients are responsible for obtaining the correct visa and documentation. Refunds will not be granted if a visa is denied, unless the denial was due to an error on the part of 1860 Travels.

4. Responsibility for Travel Documents

Clients must ensure they possess valid passports, visas, and other required travel documents. The Company cannot be held responsible for entry denial due to inadequate documentation.

Costs associated with obtaining travel documents are solely the client's responsibility.

5. Limitations of Liability

1860 Travels shall not be liable for any loss, damage, or injury resulting from:

  • Any third-party services including airlines and accommodation providers.
  • Delays, cancellations, or changes made by airlines or other transportation providers.
  • Force majeure events.

Clients must pursue any compensation for delays or cancellations directly with the airline or transport operator.

6. Force Majeure

1860 Travels is not liable for failures or delays caused by circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to natural disasters, civil unrest, or government actions.

7. Data Protection

We comply with applicable data protection laws and regulations. Your personal data will only be used for booking purposes and will not be shared with third parties without your consent.

8. Client Behavior and Conduct

Clients must adhere to the reasonable instructions of Company staff. Misconduct or behavior deemed harmful to others may result in immediate termination of your trip without refund.

Clients are responsible for any damage or loss they cause, and full payment for such damages must be made directly to the affected party.

9. Photo & Video Release

By participating in trips organized by 1860 Travels, you consent to the use of photographs or videos taken during the trip for promotional purposes. If you wish to opt out, please notify us in writing prior to the trip.

10. Insurance Recommendation

Clients are strongly encouraged to obtain travel insurance that covers cancellations, health emergencies, and loss of personal belongings.

11. Complaints

In the event of any complaints during your trip, you must inform your trip guide or our local agent immediately. Complaints not resolved on-site should be submitted in writing to us within 14 days of the trip's conclusion.

12. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your trip shall be settled through arbitration in Nigeria.

13. Contract Law

Your contract is governed by the laws of Nigeria, and any disputes must be handled by the courts of Nigeria.

14. Amendments to Terms & Conditions

1860 Travels reserves the right to amend these Terms. Clients will be notified of any significant changes before making a booking.

15. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is deemed invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full effect.

16. Entire Agreement

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and 1860 Travels regarding your trip and supersede any prior agreements or understandings.
