Operational Notes: Day 2: The dinosaur footprint site is closed on Mondays. Day 3: The mine is open daily, but on Saturdays and Sundays, it may not be possible to see miners. To keep in mind: During the rainy season (late December to mid-April), the salt flat may be flooded, preventing access to Incahuasi Island, Momias de Pucara de Ayque, or Puerto Chuvica. Access is limited to within 10 km of the salt flat. Day 1 La Paz L Airport reception in La Paz. Transfer to the hotel and then proceed with a city tour, located at an elevation of 3,632 meters above sea level. During the tour, you will visit the Gold, Murillo, and Costumbrista Museums, as well as the Killi Killi viewpoint, which offers a beautiful view of the city. The tour continues through the modern part of the city and ends at the Moon Valley, known for its whimsical formations created by erosion. Enjoy a cable car ride for an excellent and beautiful view of La Paz. Day 2 La Paz / Sucre B L At the scheduled time, transfer to the airport for your flight to Sucre. Arrival in Sucre. After checking in, we will embark on a tour that will take us to the world's largest fossilized footprint site, which is a source of fascination and study for paleontologists and dinosaur enthusiasts. Here, you can observe thousands of footprints from more than 200 prehistoric species dating back 65 to 70 million years. Day 3 Sucre / Uyuni B L D Transfer from Sucre to Potosí, crossing the Pilcomayo River and the Mendez Bridge, a neo-Gothic-style suspension bridge from the mid-19th century. We continue to Potosí, observing the changing landscape as we ascend to an estimated altitude of 4,000 meters above sea level. Upon arrival in Potosí, you can choose to either visit the city, admiring its colonial squares and streets that lead to various architectural monuments, remnants of the opulence produced by the extraction of silver from the majestic Cerro Rico. Alternatively, you can opt for a visit to the cooperative private mines of Cerro Rico de Potosí, which are still in operation, allowing you to witness miners at work. Our journey then continues to Uyuni. Along the way, you can see the distant mining center of Porco, one of Bolivia's oldest, where minerals have been extracted since the time of the Incas (approximately 700 years ago). Before reaching Uyuni, we stop at a wonderful viewpoint where you can fully appreciate the salt flats and the impressive Thunupa Volcano. Accommodation in the Salt Hotel. Day 4 Uyuni B L D In the morning, we visit the train cemetery, where you can see the remains of locomotives from the 19th and 20th centuries. We then head to the Great Salt Flat, passing through the town of Colchani, where we visit an artisanal salt processing plant. Once inside the salt flat, we pass by natural springs and arrive at Incahuasi Island (also known as Fish Island), where you can observe the famous giant cacti. Lunch will be served in the middle of the salt flat. After some time for perspective photos and experiencing the unique energy of the salt flats, we head south to watch the sunset from the edge, accompanied by a round of wine and snacks. Day 5 Uyuni / La Paz B At a convenient time, transfer to the airport for your flight to La Paz
